Boys and Girls Club of Carbondale

BGCC strives to provide after-school programming and inspire youth to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. BGCC is committed to raising a generation of children who will change the culture of the community for generations to come.

Carbondale Chamber of Commerce

The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce strives to advance the interests of business and to make our community a great place to live, work, visit, play and invest. We do this by promoting Carbondale, Illinois and by serving our more than 400 member organizations with programs which promote and build business, develop leaders, advocate for commercial interests and grow our local economy.

Carbondale Community Arts

Carbondale Community Arts is a not-for-profit arts organization that has encouraged the creative culture of Southern Illinois since 1987. Their mission is to cultivate, nurture, and celebrate the creativity of our total community.

Carbondale Main Street

Carbondale Main Street is proud to help improve and promote the downtown district of Carbondale, Illinois. We as an organization are a resource for the businesses in our district; we offer design assistance grants and promotional tools for all of our retail locations, restaurants, offices, etc.

The Varsity Center

A historic visual and performing arts venue in downtown Carbondale, The Varsity Center is the former location of the historic Varsity Movie Theater. The Varsity has three performance spaces including the Balcony Stage — a 137 seat “listening room” with state-of-the art light and sound.


WDBX provides a public forum for artistic and cultural expression and for the exchange of ideas among individuals and the community.
